ADMINISTRATION:
Pakistan Education Centre is being administered by the Board of Governors appointed from time to time who formulate guideline on matters requiring policy decision. The over all administration of PEC is subject to the control and supervision of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Chairman of the Board of Governors being the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the State of Qatar.
THE PEC COUNCIL
The council looks after and streamlines the flow of students’ affairs pertaining to their academics, promotion, send up and attendance. The council also takes necessary disciplinary action against a student who violates the school’s code of conduct.

SCHOOL CURRICULUM
Our entire curriculum is based on activities which are a part of our daily classes. Learning through activity is essential to build general knowledge. A child is encouraged to develop his own initiative and creativity through his independent work which helps to augment his academic level as well. From class III onwards Computer Studies is introduced through which we aim at developing the skill of the students up to a level where they are confident and independent computer users.
JUNIOR SCHOOL
1. The junior school comprises Class I to class IV. The students are given extra attention at this crucial stage to improve their power of comprehension and observation to mould them into intelligent and diligent students.
2. The junior school has a set up of continuous assessment with only three formal examinations for classes 1 to 4. The school offers a very conducive environment for learning and teaching.
3. Sports, Art and Craft and House Activities are a regular part of the junior school curriculum.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
ACADEMICS (JUNIOR, MIDDLE & SSC)
1. A child is admitted to pre-school i.e. Prep I, Prep II at the age of 3 and 4 years respectively, KG 5 years and class I at the age of 6. Birth certificate and vaccination certificates and four recent passport size photographs are required.
2. Entrance test is conducted for regular admission.
3. Transfer Cases are admitted provided they get through the entrance test.
4. Admission to standard IX & X is not encouraged, it is only granted after assessment of the students to ascertain the academic level for the respective class.
HSSC PART I & II
1. Provisional admission to class XI is granted a week after the practical examination of the SSC.
2. Regular Admission/ classes start after the declaration of the SSC result.
3. Science Group is offered to students obtaining at least 60% marks in the SSC Examination.
4. Admission is granted on merit keeping in view the number of seats available.
RE-ADMISSION:
1. Re-admission is approved only if the application is put in the same academic year in which the student’s name was struck off the roll and outstanding dues for the period of absence are cleared.
2. Request for re-admission is not entertained from the students of XI & XII if the period of absence exceeds two months.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR TRANSFER / FRESH ADMISSION:
1. Original character and school / college leaving certificates from the Head of the institution.
2. Attendance and Academic Record. (FB)
3. Original Migration Certificate from the Board (required for Board Classes only)
4. An equivalence certificate is required in case of students coming from other education systems.
TRANSFERS DURING THE ACADEMIC SESSION REQUIRE:
1. Entrance Test and interview.
2. Tuition Fee will be charged from the beginning of the academic year if the dues of the previous institute have not been cleared.
3. Advance payment in the previous institution will not be taken into account.
4. Tuition fee will be charged w.e.f. the month of admission even if it is paid in the previous institution.
EXAMINATION SYSTEM
The academic year comprises two terms in the senior wings. Each term has its specific syllabus and the terminal examination is conducted from the prescribed syllabus. The final examination of classes V- VIII is tabulated as the average result of First and Second Terminal Examinations.
Secondary School and Higher Secondary School classes are affiliated with the FBISE Islamabad which conducts the final examination.
The grading system is given as follows.
A1 80% marks and above
A 70 – 79%
B 60 – 69%
C 50 – 59%
D 40 – 49%
E 35 – 39%
F 34 – and below
EXAMINATION RULES:
PROMOTION:
1. The pass percentage in each subject is 35.
2. Science subjects are offered in class IX if a student gets 60% marks in Mathematics, General Science, Comp. Studies and English in the final Examinations of class VIII.
3. 80% attendance is must for promotion to the next class.
4. In the junior school, a student must attain pass percentage in the accumulative result of the continuous assessment.
EXEMPTION:
1. The student admitted 15 days prior to the terminal examination may be exempted from the examination on request. However, it does not apply to the final examination.
2. Students exempted in the terminal examination will not be ranked.
3. Non-Muslim students are exempted from Islamiat and Al-Quran on request. Exemption in these subjects does not affect their ranks.
4. Foreign students can also be exempted from certain subjects on their request. Exemption in such subjects does not affect their ranks.
5. The Pakistani Students who did not have any opportunity to learn Urdu or any other subject in the past may also be exempted on request for an indefinite or specific period.
6. The students on Medical leave must submit an application supported by a medical certificate from a Government Hospital in order to be exempted from a particular paper or examination. In case a student has appeared in some of the papers then he/she will be awarded marks and grades on proportionate basis. Medical Certificate issued by a private practitioner will not be considered.
7. The students who miss a paper/examination because of being sent on different duties by school will be given a chance to appear in the paper/examination. In case they are exempted from the examination, they will be awarded class position on proportionate basis or actual achievement.
8. Pre-Board Examination for classes IX- X- XI and XII are conducted every year for assessment of students appearing in the Board Examination.
FACILITIES ON CAMPUS
ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT:
The accounts department deals with the salaries of the staff and fees of the students. The department is well staffed and fully computerized.
ETL: (EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY LAB.)
The school has a fully equipped and up to date lab which performs the following tasks:
1. CENTRAL EXAMINATION CELL
Question Papers for different House Examinations are typed and printed for all the wings.
2. PUBLICATION CENTRE:
Facilities are provided to type, edit, and prepare layout of different school publications. It also help in Lamination.
LIBRARY:There is a computerized central library, which caters to the academic requirements of the teachers and the taught. It is well stocked and equipped with recent editions of the reference material. A great variety of newspapers and periodicals is available to teachers and students alike in order to keep them abreast of the modern developments.
Students get an opportunity to cultivate reading habit as they have regular library periods.
The library also offers language learning facility and Career Guidance & Counselling.
COMPUTER LABS:
With the establishment of the six modern computer labs equipped with the latest Pentium-IV computers, Computer Science is taught from classes I to XII. Internet facility is available in the labs of senior wings.
TRANSPORT FACILITY:
The school owns a fleet of new air-conditioned buses and coasters. The facility is made available on acceptance of written requests from the students.
EDUCATIONAL & RECREATIONAL TRIPS: (FIELD TRIPS)
Educational and Recreational trips of all wings are arranged from time to time. The students are taken to gardens, beaches and exhibitions, and visits to various technical sites and plants are also organized.
MEDICAL AID:
The First Aid Team of school is available for any minor injury or ailment. In case of any serious health problem, the State Medical Authorities are immediately contacted.
FEDERAL BOARD AFFAIRS:
1. The office deals with all Federal Board Affairs as well as matters related to UGC and other Universities. It facilitates students and parents in obtaining the required documents and information.
2. Arranges to conduct different examinations of Karachi University, Punjab University, Allama Iqbal Open University, Preston University, etc.
under the supervision of the Pakistan Embassy Qatar.
A/V ROOM
Audio-visual facility is provided to the students of all wings. A/V Room is equipped with all modern accessories to facilitate the teaching / learning process.
SPORTS FACILITIES:
The students have the facilities of playing indoor as well as outdoor games. There are courts for basketball, throw ball, volleyball and badminton at the school campus. Football and Cricket grounds of international standard are also available.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
We believe in developing a balanced personality of our students and in order to achieve this
end, the following clubs and societies have been framed which provide the students with an
opportunity to show their talent in the field of their choice.
IQRA SOCIETY
Students are encouraged to increase their proficiency in reciting the Holy Quran. The society prepares the students for the annual Hifz-e-Quran and various other Inter School Qirat Competitions.
LITERARY SOCIETIES
The Urdu / English Societies encourage literary activities and organize various competitions for the students. These societies prepare the students for Inter House and Inter School Competitions.
GIRL GUIDES / BOY SCOUTS
In order to infuse the ideals of discipline, devotion and social service, the students are encouraged to join the above cited associations.
ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIETY
The society has been formed to look after and plant new saplings and trees at the campus. It also arranges visits of the students to gardens and other places of interest to introduce them to local flora and increase their awareness about their ecosystem.
CAREER COUNSELING COMMITTEE
The career counseling committee provides information and guidance to the students/ parents regarding their future planning. The committee discusses and counsels with the desirous students of senior classes to keep them abreast of the latest career options in different fields.
ART AND CRAFT CLUB
The Art and Craft Club organizes different events for the students to promote healthy competitions among them. It also organizes Annual Arts Exhibition in which the creative works of the students are put on display.
ARRANGEMENT FOR ZUHR PRAYER
The students are encouraged to say their Zuhr prayer at the campus. Necessary arrangements such as water, prayer mats, separate room for girls and shed for boys have been made.

SCHOOL MAGAZINE
The school magazine “Safeena” is published every year. The magazine provides students
with a chance to express their feelings and ideas through their creative works.
ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The academic Calendar is framed to facilitate parents and the students. It helps the students to prepare themselves for the examinations, curricular and co-curricular activities.
GOLD MEDAL AWARD CEREMONY
This ceremony is held in the month of June to award Gold Medals, Rolls of Honour and certificates to the students who attain distinction in the SSC and HSSC Examinations of the preceding years.
PEC FESTIVAL
PEC Festival is organized every year for the entertainment of the Pakistani Community.
MOTHERS’ DAY
Mothers’ day is a social event organized by the junior wings. Its objective is to create awareness and enhance mothers’ support in the education of their children.

Keeping in view the importance of teamwork and to develop a healthy competition among the students, all boys and girls from class I to class XII are divided into twelve houses. Each house has a House Master/Mistress and a House Tutor from the faculty and a House prefect/Commander and a House Vice Prefect/Assistant Commander from the students.

PUNISHABLE OFFENCES
* STEALING: To take something from someone without permission or in an unlawful manner is a major offence and is punishable because this kind of habit in students can lead to grave consequences.
* SMOKING: Smoking is an offence and is punishable because it is injurious to health.
* IMMORAL CONDUCT: Behaviour transgressing accepted moral values which degrades a human being is punishable, and can lead to rustication. The students must have respect for basic human moral values.
* CHEATING: Using unfair means in the examinations is another major offence and is punishable. The students have to be checked at this stage to save the society from corruption.
* WILLFUL DAMAGE: Willful damage to PEC property is another major offence and is punishable because the students are expected to be committed and loyal to their alma mater. A student should protect and preserve his/her institution and anything belonging to it.
* MISUSE OF HIS/HER SENIORITY: It is also an offence and punishable because the senior students are expected to be kind to their juniors. The students belonging to the proctorial group have to be generous enough to develop trustworthy leadership role in the institution, as this is the main purpose of modern schooling.
COLLECTIVE AGITATION: Collective agitation of any type by the students is a punishable offence and can lead to rustication.
PROHIBITIONS
Some activities and habits of the students are harmful for the healthy environment of the
school. Therefore the students are directed not to bring the following items to school
* Obscene literature
* Photographs and cartoons which can harm the growing minds of the students
* Audio and video cassettes, computer CDs, etc.
* Any sort of literature which can harm the morals of the students.
* Mechanical toys/digital games/computer toys.
* Private clothes.
* Cigarettes, etc.
* Knives, match boxes, lighters, sprays, cutters, screwdrivers, lasers and other such items.
* Mobile phones.
Disciplinary action can be taken if the students do not follow instructions. The parents of the children are requested to search the bags of the children from time to time in order to prevent them from bringing items listed above. A student will be expelled if he/she commits any major violation of the school rules or tries to spoil the serene environment of learning.
FEE RULES
* The prescribed fee must reach the Centre on or before the 10th of each month after which a fine of QR.1 per day will be charged. If a student fails to deposit the fee for two consecutive months and ten days of the third month, the name will be struck off the roll.
*Admission will not be granted without original School Leaving Certificate otherwise fee will be charged for the whole session . Parents can provide SLC within four weeks in very rare/deserving cases by the approval of the Principal. SLC provided is subject to the verification from previous school. In case it is proved fake the student will be rusticated.
* Changes or overwriting on the SLC will not be accepted.
* EX. PEC students, who leave the school without obtaining SLC and want to get admission again on the basis of SLC from another school are granted re-admission on clearance of out standing fee with re-admission fee.
* Students who absent themselves for more than two months will be struck off the roll, SLC will be issued on clearance of outstanding fee.
* Refund/adjustment of fee paid in case of science or humanities group will not be done for the previous duration. However, the changed will be charged from the date this change of group is allowed.
* Third and onward children in lower classes will be granted fee concession. If children are in same class, the younger one will be given fee concession.
* Application for discontinuation of transport should come to Admin. Officer at least one week prior to discontinuation so that bus fee may not be charged for the next month. Discontinued bus card cannot be renewed within six months unless bus fee is paid for the period of discontinuity.
* Summer vacation fee is payable in two installments as per following schedule:
June & July payable in June
August & September payable in September
* Bus fee for one month during summer vacation is not charged.
* Only QRs.25/-(non-refundable) will be charged from the students of 1st year as library funds at the time of admission. Breakage charges of laboratory/library equipment and school properties will be charged as usual.
* Newly admitted students, who do not attend the classes seeking refund of fees, will not be allowed.
* Issuance of SLC just after summer vacation will be made on payment of full fee for July
and August from the students who attended classes even for a day after summer vacation. Those who do not attend school after summer vacation, 50% of their fee will be charged for July and August for issuance of SLC.
* QRs.20/- will be charged on any certificate issued to the student.
