Pakistan
Education
Centre is one
of the most prestigious
and
renowned
educational institutions
in the
Gulf.
It is playing
a pivotal role in imparting standard
education and
grooming the overall personality
of the Pakistani and foreign students.
It is housed in
a grand specious double
storey building on 75.000 Sq. meters of land at
Abu Hamour in Doha, Qatar.
The land was graciously donated by the Amir of the State of Qatar, where as,
the finance for the construction of the
building
was raised
entirely through donations.
Lt. Gen. (R) Jahan
Zeb Arbab, the former
Ambassador
of the Islamic
Republic of Pakistan to the
State of
Qatar (1980-86) played a
major
role in collecting donations
through
various sources.
The new building was inaugurated by the late
President of the Islamic
Republic of Pakistan
General Muhammad Zia-Ul-Haq under the name
of Pakistan
School
on 6th November, 1985.
A few very enthusiastic members of the
Pakistani
community established
the school in 1970.
With the increase in
number of students,
better
administrative control became necessary.
The Embassy of the Islamic
Republic of
Pakistan
was
assigned
the task to take over the administration
through a cabinet decision in
1978.

Later on Pakistan Public School and Anglo-Pak School were merged
into the Pakistan School in 1984 and 1987 respectively.
With the passage of time the number of
students grew greater and greater and a good number of students got through
the SSC Examination
